Bush rejects direct talks with Iran

Agence France Presse – US President George W. Bush warned Monday that a nuclear-armed Iran would be an "incredibly destabilizing" force and rejected direct talks unless Tehran suspends sensitive atomic work.

"If the Iranians want to have a dialogue with us, we have shown them the way forward, that is, for them to verifiably suspend their enrichment activities," Bush said as he met here with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
