Bombing of Iraqi Kurdish areas by Iranian regime condemned

NCRI – Kurdish areas on northern Iraq have been the target of Iranian regime’s bombing for the past week. Many local residents have lost their homes and dozens killed or wounded.

Ayatollah Hossein Moayed, an Iraqi Shiite leader, condemned inhuman bombings of innocent civilians and called for expulsion of the Iranian regime’s ambassador to Baghdad.

In his statement, he described bombings as an open violation of international conventions, human rights and Islamic principles.

Criticizing Nouri Al-Maliki’s government for its silence over the mullahs’ regime’s aggression against Iraq, the Shiite clergy reiterated, “In response to this aggression, the present [Iraqi] government should withdraw its ambassador to Tehran and expel Iranian ambassador to Baghdad,” the Al-Rafedin Iraqi TV reported on August 25.

Ayatollah Moayed also called on international community to intervene and end mullahs’ aggression to Iraq.
