Another Ahmadinejad advisor resigns

NCRI – An advisor to the Iranian regime’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has resigned, according to the Fars news agency on Monday.

The resignation of Saqai Biria, who acted as Ahmadinejad’s advisor to relations with clerics, comes just two weeks after thirteen other advisors to the mullahs’ president also left their posts.

The resignations are a sign of widening rifts in the regime’s ruling faction.

To downplay the significance of his resignation, Biria claimed that it had nothing to do with conflicts with other cabinet members, but due to accepting another job as the chair of a religious institution in Qom. He said his new appointment has not been finalized.
