Dr. Allawi added, “When we saw that strong obstacles have been created by some neighbors and especially Iraq, we decided to retreat from our election rights on account of respect for the Iraqi people, but on the condition of participating in political decision making.”
“This participation will be through the council because this council. It has not been created yet and there are only agreements around its name and powers.”
“This council will not be a rival of the government or Parliament, but it will rather complement them.”
