According to the state-run Asr-e Iran, Mohammad Reza Bahonar said the decision to remove the mullahs’ Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi was planned by Ahmadinejad. He added, “The recent incidents in the government and the failure to accept the Intelligence Minister and such things were not good.”
“Ten days passed but the President agreed to keep Mr. Moslehi in his position after the decree by the leader. Mr. Ahmadinejad also almost decided to resign but in the final analysis agreed to remain in his post.”
