Admitting loss of Khamenei hegemony, mullah says future protests more dangerous

NCRI – A member of the regime’s Assembly of Experts has admitted that the mullahs’ Supreme Leader’s hegemony has suffered a big dent, saying, “The Supreme Leader should not have been treated like this. Seditions in the future will deal heavier blows than previous ones.”

According to the state-run Jahan News this week, which is close to the faction of Khamenei, mullah Haeri Shirazi was asked, “Some believe that the 2009 sedition [mass protests] is still going on and is a continuation of the 1999 [student uprising] sedition; The question is what should be done after passing through this sedition in order to deal with future ones which the Supreme Leader has said will be more challenging?”

In response, Haeri Shirazi said, “Naturally, future seditions will be dealing heavier blows than those which have occurred in previous years.”
