NCRI – No person or entity is willing to accept the responsibility for the calamity of Plasco building!

After the tragedy of Plasco fire, the state-run Shargh Newspaper referred to the shocking and chaotic situation of urban services in the capital as well as the inaction of the Iranian regime and its relevant responsible organs for this incident.

On 21st of January 2017, Shargh Newspaper wrote about the disastrous collapse of Plasco:”all authorities are going to the location in which the incident occurred. They probably come in front of the cameras in order to say that another person is responsible for such incident.”

Shargh Newspaper then refers to the plight of the urban service management of Tehran. The article reads:”why is it a dream to manage urban services in Tehran? Why is Tehran a defenseless city? Why aren’t the fire department and safety services equipped well and with high standards? Why aren’t the safety codes observed in the buildings of a metropolis like Tehran?”

The state-run Jahan Newspaper on 21st of January 2017 reported on the conflicts regarding the collapse of Plasco; the shocking and chaotic situation of urban services in Tehran. The news reads:” as the fire started, 400 cars from different organizations such as fire department, the Red Crescent, police units, Tehran municipality and the army arrived at an area that only had the capacity of 100 cars. This issue hindered the rescue operations. Another thing is that there was no united crisis management from the start of fire until the collapse of the building. We only witnessed conflicts and clashes among different authorities on the issue of crisis management and no organization followed the instructions of the other.”

Jahan Newspaper pointed out that the 200-ton water that was splashed onto the building caused the collapse. The news then reads:”why didn’t the firefighters follow the orders of chiefs and why did each unit act separately? Why were there only 2 fire engines equipped with 50-meter ladders in the first three hours before the collapse? The rescue workers had even skipped breakfast and people brought them sandwiches, bread, butter, milk, and juice.”

The state-run Jahan Newspaper also mentioned that the authorities of the regime played with people’s life and they did not take responsibility for the calamity of Plasco. Moreover, the news reads:”the first thing that authorities always say after each bitter incident is that we had already warned about this before. Apparently, they always abdicate responsibility and throw blame on others. No matter if the incident has political and social nature or it is a natural or unnatural disaster. There always exist a fixed principal that no person or entity is willing to bear the responsibility of the incident. The problem will not be resolved with some condolences and by opening a committee, council or media controversy. Everything gets quiet until the next incident occurs. “
