Students and faculty protest medical university dissolution

Medical UniversityNCRI – Students and a number of professors in Tehran have staged a protest to a decision by the Iranian regime’s Health Minister to dissolve Iranian Medical Sciences University, state-run news agencies reported on Tuesday.

For the past three days, some students have staged a sit-in in front of the university’s medical college, and a number of faculty members have resigned.

The Iranian regime’s Health Minister, Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi, announced the dissolution of the university on October 30.

A member of the mullahs’ Majlis (Parliament), Heydarpour, has expressed worries about the move, saying it could incite more tension and protests.

At the same time, the Majlis Health Committee has summoned the regime’s health minister for questioning.
