More than 300 women have committed suicide in Kurdistan province in one year

The Human Rights Organization in South Kurdistan, Iran, published a report on the statistics of human rights abuse and suppression against women in Kurdistan in the 2013.

Based on the estimated figures published, 347 women have lost their life by committing suicide or being killed in one year in the province. Among those who have committed suicide many have set themselves on fire.
