Iranian regime mullah caught stealing shoes in Saudi Arabia

NCRI – A mullah affiliated with the Iranian regime spent 38 days in a Saudi prison after he was charged with theft during a pilgrimage to Mecca, state-run media in Iran revealed on Saturday.

According to the state-run Qods daily, “Yaser Khalili, a cleric, was arrested by the chastity police during a Hajj pilgrimage and spent 38 days in prison. He was charged with stealing shoes in front of the Prophet’s Tomb.”

In previous years, other regime officials have also been charged with shoplifting and theft in the US and European countries. Among them was the regime’s former permanent representative to the UN, Saeed Rajai Khorasani, who was arrested after trying to shoplift a raincoat. The attempt was recorded on the store’s security cameras.
