Iran: Young woman commits suicide due to poverty

A 29-year-old woman set herself on fire and committed suicide on Friday, January 31, after she was laid-off from work and her husband became unemployed.

This lady had a 7-year-old daughter and was suffering from intense poverty.

She died in a hospital in the southern city of Andimeshk.

Meanwhile a 35 year old man hanged himself from the roof of the house that he was living in the Charmahal and Bakhtiari province.

Among the principal reasons for committing suicide in Iran are poverty, unemployment, addiction and psychological problems caused by mullahs’ regime excessive pressure brought to bear on Iranian people.

According an official of Iranian Legal Medicine Organization last year in Iran there was 3640 suspect suicide deaths out of which 1110 were female.

Ahmadi Moghadam, commander of State Security Forces (SSF), had previously stated that the statistics for suicides in Iran is twice the number of murders.

The state-run Sharq daily reported: Every day in Iran from 5 to 10 people commit suicide.
