NCRI – Three young men have been paraded in women’s clothing through the Iranian city of Mehran after being charged with robbery and drug dealing.
It is the second time in two weeks the humiliating punishment has been inflicted on male alleged offenders.
Earlier this month, a judge in Marivan ordered a man to be paraded in a woman’s dress as part of his punishment for a domestic violence conviction.
A group of women protested the ‘offensive’ decision by the judge in Marivan saying the sentence was degrading to women, and particularly Kurdish women, as the prisoner in Marivan was forced to wear a traditional female Kurdish outfit.
