NCRI – Chair of the Iranian parliament research and investigation commission said as we near the elections the government is seeking to cloak any economic corruption.

“The Teachers Savings Fund is in poor conditions and based on the evaluations made, there has been over 8 trillion tomans of dirty money transacted in this fund,” said Jabbar Kuchaki in an interview with the semi-official Tasnim news agency, affiliated to the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force.

“This amount is only related to Sarmaye Bank. Other than that there is also corruption in the investment made in other companies. Documents in this regard are available in the revolution court, the prosecutor office and the inspectors organization,” he added.

“These documents are enough to raise charges against the perpetrators,” Kuchaki continued.

“Rouhani once said there is no corruption… and then went on to say the Sarmaye Bank is corrupt,” he added.

“When Rouhani couldn’t deny the massive misuses from the Teachers Savings Fund he claimed it was the work of previous administrations,” Kuchaki emphasized.

The Teachers Savings Fund is a government-run economic institute registered on May 28th, 1995, claiming to support funds for the country’s teachers.

The most important financial source of this institute is through the input of 5% of all member teachers’ incomes and pensions.
