Iran: Musicians arrested and forced to make ‘televised confessions’

The Iranian regime’s state security forces have swooped on underground musicians in the city of Sari, where they are being forced to make a ‘televised confession’ from Evin Prison.

Among those being held are the managers of an internet music production and distribution website, according to reports from Iran.

The police chief of Tehran has also reported the arrest on December 4 of Persian rap singer Amir Hossein Maqsoudlou, aged 30, whose songs have been aired on foreign websites, which is illegal under mullahs’ draconian laws.
