Iran: Every hour 70 persons arrested

NCRI- Chief prison official in Iran under mullahs’ rule has said that in Iran some 600,000 persons enter prisons daily. Therefore every hour up to 70 persons are entering prisons in Iran, Iranian regime state-run media reported.

Iranian regime’s state-run media quoted Gholamhossein Esmaili, director of Organization of State Prisons as saying that : “The 600,000 figure for entries to the prisons are close to real because in recent years the number of people that enter prison have increased.” 

In Iran under the rule of mullahs people are being arrested on various pretexts as  an important mechanism to impose atmosphere fear and suppression.

Esmaili added: “currently we are holding military drills for combating riots in prison located in Khorasan province.”  The drills  ” have direct effect in elevating the level of security and order in prisons.”
