The victim is 42 years old, married and reportedly uneducated.
The clerical regime is issuing such inhumane sentences for petty crimes at a time when just recently its head of judiciary, Sadeq Larijani, announced the discovery of a multi-billion dollar corruption and embezzlement ring headed by several regime officials, including a senior government official.
Meanwhile, in the midst of infighting among rival factions, a state-run media outlet revealed this weekend that a deputy in the regime’s Majlis (Parliament) has amassed “astronomical” wealth.
The source refused to name the Majlis deputy but wrote that he helped fabricate university degrees and obtain posts for more than a hundred other deputies at Azad University.
The deputy is said to own several houses and a number of luxury cars and recently purchased an expensive villa in Paris.
