NCRI – A Congressional briefing on the Iran nuclear deal as well the regime’s human rights abuses and meddling in the region will be held at the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday, the Organization of Iranian-American Communities (OIAC) says.

The event is being organized by Iranian-American Communities from 40 states.

“In June 2015, the United States Congress passed the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act, aiming to push back against a bad deal that risks compromising U.S. national security & interests. Many believe that unannounced inspection and verification of Iranian government’s activities, whatever they maybe, should be pivotal components of any deal with Iran – these features are missing in the current agreement, as announced,” the group said.

“No Western concession can change the nature of the ruling regime in Tehran or offer the Iranian people democratic choices,” it added.

The Congressional briefing will examine “Iran’s deeds, current challenges, and future options.”

The briefing is entitled: “Halting Iran’s Nuclear Bomb Quest, Rights Abuses and Regional Meddling – Challenges & Options.”

Members of Congress and foreign policy, Middle East and military experts are expected to address the event.

The event will be held in the Cannon Caucus Room (CHOB-345).

Time: Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11.30am EDT (17.30 European time).
