NCRI – On Sunday 29th of January 2017, the Spokesman of the Judiciary of Iran, Gholamhossein Mohseni Eje’I in a meeting with the agents of the Intelligence Organization of IRGC acknowledged that one of the members of Ahmadinejad’s nuclear team was arrested on charges of spying and providing information to foreigners.

He did not mention the name of the spy but said:”one of the members of the nuclear team did some intelligence work in Ahmadinejad’s government. At that time, I was convinced that this person is a spy and then he got arrested.

This person’s job was to teach people what things to say to win the negotiation and what issues our authorities are sensitive about. He even guided them on the different ways of negotiation and who precedes the peaceful nuclear activities as a national issue in the country and who wants to hinder the developments.”

The spokesman of the Judiciary added:”the person got arrested and when I was in the Ministry of Intelligence they called me in the initial process at the interrogation office. They filled me in about the content of the report and I told them not to use the word “Spy” in the file. I asked them to write his charge as “giving unauthorized information to the foreigners” instead. They said that the interrogator says this person is a spy. Of course, he is the judge of this case and he says so but I asked them to say to the interrogator that the charge shall not be explained as espionage.”
