Mullahs’ Press TV accounts frozen in Britain

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s news channel Press TV has had its British bank account frozen, a report said on Thursday.

The AFP cited a Times of Britain report as saying that the state-run channel, which also “has an office in London, has seen its main trading account at the National Westminster Bank suspended.”

The bank will shortly close the account, the paper reported.

An employee of Press TV, Lauren Booth, blasted the move as a “politically motivated act,” AFP said.

AFP added, “Western governments accuse Iran of trying to develop atomic weapons, and the Islamic republic has been the subject of four sets of United Nations sanctions.”
