Iran security official: Nuclear program will go ahead unabated

NCRI- A senior security official of the Iranian regime warned that the nuclear crisis is not the only challenge that the clerical regime has with the West but other issues also do exist.

The State-run news agency ILNA Tuesday quoted Abolfazl Zohrevand, a senior adviser to Secretary of the Supreme Security Council, as saying: "As we focus on Iran’s current situation, we notice that the U.S. forces have trenched in the East and the West of Iran. They are concentrating all their might in Iraq and Afghanistan along with all their allies."

Abolfazl Zohrevand, who also had previously served as Iranian regime's ambassador to Italy, added: "Before the coming to light of the nuclear issue, the human rights were the central issue of concern for the West. The nuclear issue has pushed the previous topic aside for now. Upon solving the nuclear issue, we will have a new set of challenges."

Referring to the security conference in the US, Zohrevand said: "Now there is a nuclear disarmament conference going on in Washington that its main topic is Iran, next month an NPT Review Conference will be held and again the main topic of the conference is Iran. … If we neglect our paradigm, we will come out as losers."

The security official said: The nuclear crisis "showed that their concern with us is not the nuclear issue. The nuclear issue is an issue that they are going to use to bring Iran to submission, but we have announced that Iran’s nuclear train has neither brakes nor a reverse gear.”
