NCRI – The following is an English translation of an infographic published on the website of the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei spelling out his ‘red lines’ in nuclear negotiations with the world powers. Though the regime can never be trusted in what it says, nevertheless we have decided to publish a translation of the text, since these red lines are very telling about the covert military aspects of the regime’s nuclear program.

Infographic / red lines for nuclear negotiation
Following the important remarks by Ayatollah Khamenei about nuclear negotiation in the meeting with government officials, the Khamenei.IR website publishes the collection of the red lines set by the leader of the revolution in the new round of negotiation to reach a good deal.
Khamenei: “What we say in public meetings about our red lines in negotiations are exactly the same as what we say to our friends, the officials and the negotiating team; they are all the same.”
Sanctions and commitments
1. Immediate lifting of economic, financial and banking sanctions at the time of signing the agreement and other sanctions at reasonable intervals.
2. The agreement must be clear and not subject to interpretation.
3. Not accepting irreversible commitments.
4. Lifting of sanctions must not be subject to Iran’s commitments.
Political aspects of the negotiation
5. Iran’s support for Islamic resistance must not be undermined.
6. Negotiation must take place at the level of foreign ministers.
7. Negotiation must only focus on the nuclear issue.
8. Maintaining Iranian nation’s pride and not accepting imposition, force, humiliation and intimidation.
Relations with the IAEA
9. Not accepting interviews with the Iranian personalities and scientists.
10. Not accepting any measure subject to IAEA’s report.
11. Not accepting non-conventional monitoring and inspections.
12. Not turning IAEA’s relation with Iran to an unconventional one.
Military capability
13. Defense development of the country must not be hindered.
14. Prevent enemy from infiltrating into country’s defense domain under the pretext of monitoring.
Scientific progress
15. Keep intact installations that the enemy would not be able to destroy, such as Fordow.
16. Fulfilment of future needs in enrichment area: 190,000 centrifuges.
17. Nuclear achievements must not be closed.
18. Not accepting long term limitations.
19. Research and development and production must continue even during the period of limitation.
