Germany condemns Iran for lack of IAEA nuclear cooperation

dpa – Berlin – German Foreign Minister on Friday condemned Iran for failing to cooperate over its nuclear programme, as he met International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Yukiya Amano in Berlin.

Westerwelle said the latest IAEA report revealed that Iran was failing to meet its obligations under international law.

‘That is just as unacceptable as Iran’s unjustified claim that the IAEA is partial,’ he, calling on the nuclear watchdog to continue its work unabated.

Iran has dismissed a recent report by Amano in which he criticized the country’s rejection of IAEA nuclear inspectors, charging that the IAEA and its leader were subject to political bias.
