Germany: A nuclear-armed Iran is unacceptable

Werner Hoyer and Spanish Foreign Minister MoratinosNCRI – The German Minister of State, Werner Hoyer said the "international community could no longer stand back and do nothing” in the face of Iranian regime’s continued refusal to cooperate on its nuclear program.

"On the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program, the Minister of State said that the task now was to find the broadest possible international support for potential sanctions. The aim was to exert greater pressure on Iran," the German Foreign Ministry website reported.

On the growing deterioration of human rights situation in Iran Werner Hoyer said that the EU condemned the recent executions, arrests and the continued restrictions placed on foreign media. The Minister of State emphasized that the Iranian regime was increasingly isolating itself through its policies.
