European diplomat warns: Iran to quadruple enrichment at Fordo

Senior Iranian parliamentarian conditions Iran’s cooperation with IAEA to sanction’s relief

NCRI – A European diplomat told Bloomberg on condition of anonymity on Saturday morning in Brussels that “Iran would be able to quadruple the enrichment of 20 percent uranium at its Fordo facility by using all the centrifuges installed there.”

The comment comes while the next round of talks between six global powers and Iran on its suspect nuclear program seems to be further delayed to an indefinite time in February. European officials accuse the Iranian government of stalling on fixing a time and venue for a meeting.

Maja Kocijancic, an EU foreign policy spokeswoman، said in a Brussels briefing on Saturday morning, “We have proposed concrete dates to the Iranian side and we’ve seen Iran come back with different modalities all the time.”
On Friday, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a senior Iranian parliamentarian, conditioned the regime’s cooperation with IAEA inspections to sanction’s relief from the West.

The comments by Boroujerdi, who is the head of the Majlis national security and foreign policy committee, reflects the Iranian regime’s intention to buy time in a bid to further advance its nuclear program.
