Clinton: Enrichment by Iranian regime could trigger arms race in Middle East

Hillary Clinton, former U.S. Secretary of State said Sunday that uranium enrichment by the Iranian regime could trigger a nuclear-arms race in the Middle East.

“I believe strongly that it’s really important for there to be so little enrichment or no enrichment at least for a long period of time because I do think any enrichment will trigger an arms race in the Middle East,” Mrs. Clinton said on CNN in an interview.

Earlier this month, the Iranian regime and 5+1 countries agreed to extend nuclear talks on the regime’s nuclear-enrichment program for four more months.

The UN Security Council resolutions on Iranian regime nuclear program, calls for a complete halt of uranium enrichment.

Earlier this year the Iranian regime agreed to taking some steps back in its nuclear program as a result of being domestically isolated and internationally rejected and placed under sanctions. However, the international community’s weakness, delays, and compromises has enabled Ali Khamenei to once again resort to deception and duplicity.

In light of the regional circumstances, Khamenei wants to keep the regime’s nuclear infrastructure intact and to leave open the door towards acquiring a nuclear weapon by the regime.
