NCRI – The US is prepared for all options on the Iranian regime, US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said on Tuesday during a visit to China.
“As we say, all options are on the table and we prepare for all options,” Gates said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
Mr. Gates also met with Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie and said at a joint press conference that attempts to prevent the Iranian regime from obtaining nuclear weapons is part of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to Bloomberg, Mr. Gates referred to the international sanctions against the Iranian regime and said sanctions are evidence of the international community’s belief that pressure on the regime should continue.
