Maryam Rajavi: Iran’s enlightened students and youths rise up in the name of freedom
Message on the new school year 2020-2021
Students,
Academicians, educators, and freedom loving teachers of Iran,
Greetings to all of you in the beginning of the new school year.
My particular salutes to the brave students who led and pioneered the protests and uprisings.
And hail to the honorable and freedom loving teachers who held nationwide strikes against the regime over the past two years.
For more than 40 years, Iran’s leading generation has been fighting the clerical regime to gain freedom.
A turbulent year coupled with deadly crises for the clerical regime is ahead of us. The ring of bells at the start of school year promises happiness &progress for all children. But in #Iran, it means only captivity, violence &poverty for the youth under the mullahs’ rule. pic.twitter.com/AnaGRhefw8

Iranians in Austria held a protest outside of the building and called for re-imposing all sanctions on the regime. In addition, in a statement, over 100 lawmakers from European and Arab countries urged the UN to reimpose all six Security Council resolutions on the regime. But why is it important.
Iran’s State Media Admit Oppression Will No Longer Quell Society
For more than four decades, the Iranian regime has used oppression to quell the society and hold its grip on power. Now, state-run media and officials acknowledge even their brutal oppression cannot stop people from overthrowing the regime.
