Iran: Coronavirus Update, Over 40,000 Deaths, May 8, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST

NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF MAY 8, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, May 8, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 40,000 in 314 cities across Iran.
The death toll in various provinces include: 6690 in Tehran, 2935 in Khorasan Razavi, 2480 in Mazandaran, 2470 in Isfahan, 2055 in Khuzestan, 1599 in Alborz, 1030 in Lorestan, 535 in Markazi (Central), 442 in North Khorasan.This is in addition to cases registered in other provinces.

New wave of Coronavirus in Iran

May 8, 2020—The latest COVID-19 death toll in Iran, published by the MEK on, May 7, 2020, is over 39,800.
Despite numerous warnings by regime officials and medical experts
Hassan Rouhani declared he has ordered the Health Ministry to “examine the conditions of resuming medium-risk businesses”
Meanwhile, concerns about social uprisings continue to rise among regime officials and media.
He warned about the re-emergence of widespread protests such as the November 2019 nationwide uprising.
The regime’s health officials have tried to pretend that the number of cases is declining
The regime fears a new nationwide uprising that can end their dictatorship.

Press Release: British MPs urge the UK Government to act urgently for the release of arrested students in Iran

The British Committee for Iran Freedom (BCFIF) condemns Iran’s regime for intensifying its domestic repression by stepping up crackdown on dissenting voices and unleashing a new wave of executions instead of helping the Iranian people during the devastating coronavirus pandemic in the country.
During a press briefing on 5 May, a spokesperson for Iran’s Judiciary acknowledged the arrest of two renowned Iranian students. The spokesperson also alleged that the arrested students were in contact with the organised Iranian opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI/MEK), and accused them of inciting violence.

Over 39,800 dead of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iran-Iran Coronavirus Death Toll per PMOI MEK sources

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on May 7, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 314 cities in Iran had exceeded 39,800. The number of victims in Tehran is 6,650, Qom 3,290, Gilan 2,690, West Azerbaijan 1,215, Sistan and Baluchestan 1,091, Lorestan 1,005, Hamedan 985, North Khorasan 433, and South Khorasan 135.

Khamenei, Revolutionary Guards cause of COVID-19 spread

In recent days, the Resistance Units and youth supporting the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK / PMOI) posted messages of the Iranian Resistance leadership, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and Mr. Massoud Rajavi, leader of the Iranian Resistance in solidarity with those infected with the Coronavirus in various cities including Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Karaj, Behbahan, Neyshabur, Chaboksar, Hamedan, Gachsaran, Urmia, Qazvin, and Arak. They also wrote graffiti on various locations.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Friday, May 8, 2020, marks the 176th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
