Burial and mourning ceremony for the victims of Coronavirus in Mazandaran province of northern Iran – Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 2695 in Mazandaran.

NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF MAY 26, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, May 26, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 44,500 in 323 cities across Iran. 3435 in Khuzestan, 2695 in Mazandaran, 1595 in East Azerbaijan, 1265 in West Azerbaijan, 1380 in Lorestanand, 1045 in Kermanshah, 702 in Yazd. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

Human rights lawyer Soheila Hejab was violently taken to the notorious Qarchak Prison after an appeals court session on Sunday, May 23, 2020.

Soheila Hijab was summoned to the Court of Appeals on May 23, 2020. She was arrested and beaten by IRGC intelligence agents after the court session, as she was leaving the justice department building.

Agents of the Sarallah base, a division of the intelligence unit of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) punched and kicked Ms. Soheila Hijab in the head, face, and sides.

In the past few weeks the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence & Security (MOIS) and the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have been summoning and arresting a large number of active and rebellious youths, especially supporters of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Relatives of PMOI members are also among those being targeted in this latest wave of nationwide crackdown. Many individuals have been sent to prison and some have been temporarily released after being threatened, paying bail and providing written obligations. This further indicates the regime’s utter fear of a new uprising sweeping the country and specific concerns regarding the MEK network of “Resistance Units” throughout Iran.

Over 44,300 dead of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iran-Iran Coronavirus Death Toll per PMOI MEK sources

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Monday, May 25, 2020, the Coronavirus death toll in 320 cities across Iran had exceeded 44,300. The death toll in Tehran is 7,180, Khuzestan 3,390, Gilan 2,755, Sistan and Baluchestan 1,402, Lorestan 1,365, Kermanshah 1,010, Kerman 545, and North Khorasan 525.

MEK Resistance Units honor the memory of MEK founders

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) internal network, known as Resistance Units, continued their activities across the country on Sunday. They took to graffiti in public places writing messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and NCRI President Maryam Rajavi and commemorated the founders and heroes of the MEK who were executed on May 25, 1972 by the Shah’s regime.

This week marked the 48th anniversary of the death of Mohammad HanifnejadSaeid Mohsen and Ali Asghar Badizadegan, the founders of People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Hanifnejad, Moshen, and Badizadegan, who had founded the PMOI/MEK in September 1965, were executed by the Shah regime on May 25, 1972.

In this regard, members of the Iranian Resistance Units, MEK’s network inside Iran, commemorated the fallen founders of the MEK across the country throughout the week, in cities such as Tehran, Isfahan, Mashhad, Khoramabad, Beluchestan, Yazd, Rasht, Islam Abad, Karaj, Ahwaz, Shiraz, Qom, Urmia, Qazvin, Gorgan, Bandar Deylam, Ardabil, Mahshahr, Rafsanjan, Babolsar, Lorestan, Behbahan, Shahr-e Rey, and Kerman.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Tuesday, May 26, 2020, marks the 194th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE UPRISING:

Number of martyrs: At least 1500

Number of injured: More than 4,000

Number of detainees: More than 12,000
