Iran: Coronavirus Update, Over 44,300 Deaths, May 25, 2020, 6:00 PM

May 25, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 44,300 in 320 cities across Iran

NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF MAY 25, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, May 25, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 44,300 in 320 cities across Iran.
The death toll in various provinces include: 7180 in Tehran, 3390 in Khuzestan, 2755 in Gilan, 1402 in Sistan and Baluchistan, 1365 in Lorestanand, 1010 in Kermanshah, 545 in Kerman, 525 in North Khorasan. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

Iran’s Regime Arrests Youth and MEK Supporters in Fear of Uprising

Reports published by the Iranian Resistance from Iran indicate the Iranian regime has started a new wave of arrests of youth and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) 

Reports from prisons indicate the regime is using physical and psychological torture to break detainees and force them to make TV confessions.

Shocking statistics released by an official of the regime’s Ministry of Health indicate that more than 10,000 medical staff in Iran are infected with the Coronavirus.

MEK Resistance Units mark the memory of PMOIMEK founders

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) internal network, known as Resistance Units, continued their activities across the country on Friday. They took to graffiti in public places writing messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and NCRI President Maryam Rajavi and remembered the founders and heroes of the MEK who were executed on May 25, 1972, by the Shah’s regime.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll Exceeds 44,000 in 320 Cities

Over 44,000 dead of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iran

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Sunday, May 24, 2020, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 320 cities across Iran exceeded 44,000. The number of victims in Qom is 3,435, Khuzestan 3,325, East Azerbaijan 1,556, Sistan and Baluchestan 1,385, Lorestan 1,330, North Khorasan 512, and Zanjan 510.

A New Wave of Arrests of Youth, Families, and Supporters of MEK Across the Country

In recent weeks, terrified of the expansion of the activities of the Resistance Units and the new wave of popular uprisings, the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and the IRGC Intelligence Organization have begun arresting and summoning large numbers of young activists, especially the families and supporters of the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK). Many have been sent to prisons, and some have been temporarily released on bail while signing a form pledging not to participate in any anti-regime activities.

On May 23, 2020, Alireza Jafarzadeh, the deputy director of the U.S. Representative Office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI-US), and Matthew Brodsky, Senior Fellow at the Security Studies Group, appeared on Alhurra TV to discuss Iran’s growing regional aggression and terrorism. Jafarzadeh also detailed the list of terror operations conducted by Iran’s intelligence ministry and the Quds Force, in tandem with the foreign ministry, targeting the leadership and the rank-and-file of the main opposition, the MEK, and the democratic coalition and Iran’s parliament-in-exile, the NCRI, in recent years.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Monday, May 25, 2020, marks the 193rd day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
