NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF MARCH 27, 2020, 6:00 PM CET):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, March 27, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 12,400 in 228 cities across Iran.

The number of victims in Sistan and Baluchestan is 140, in Khuzestan is 580, in Isfahan is 1,400, in Lorestan is 250, in Khorasan Razavi is 1030, in Kermanshah is 370, in Mazandaran is 980, in Yazd is 265, in Bushehr is 25, and in Kohkiloieh and Boierahmad is 50. This is in addition to the figures in other provinces.

The Peoples Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Thursday, March 26, 2020, that the coronavirus death toll has risen to more than 11,900 in 224 cities across Iran.

The number of victims in Tehran is 1,650, Golestan 670, Khuzestan 540, Kordestan 225, Kermanshah 340, Yazd 230, Ardabil 185, and South Khorasan 12.

Mrs. Rajavi calls for immediate international intervention to release prisoners to prevent a major humanitarian catastrophe

Iran: Riot in Tabriz prison

March 26, prisoners in wards 4 and 5 of Tabriz prison, who are exposed to the coronavirus, staged a riot. Contrary to its propaganda and while the coronavirus epidemic is widespread in prisons, the mullahs’ regime not only refuses to release prisoners even temporarily but keeps putting new prisoners behind bars without quarantining them.

They wrote:

Two female prisoners die in Qarchak Prison for women due to Covid-19

Most inmates of Evin Prison and Qarchak Prison for women remain in jail in horrible hygienic conditions after the outbreak of the coronavirus in prisons. They are not granted temporary leaves.

A few women political prisoners who received temporary leaves, have reported that the conditions in Qarchak prison for women, the women’s ward of Evin Prison and the Kachauii Prison in Karaj are worse than before.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Friday, March 27, 2020, marks the 134th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE UPRISING:

Number of uprising cities: 191

Number of martyrs: At least 1500

Number of injured: More than 4,000

Number of detainees: More than 12,000
