Locals in Iraq and Afghanistan protests Iran’s meddling

Demonstrations in Iraq [File Photo]

Locals in Iraq rallied in the cities of Najaf, Karbala, Babil (Babylon), West Hamzah, Al Diwaniyah and Nasiriyah, holding demonstrations and calling for an end to the control enjoyed by Iraqi proxies and groups associated to the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran. These demonstrators also called for legal action and accountability against those individuals who ordered and carried out the killing sprees targeting civilian protesters and demonstrators.

In the city of Najaf, brave youths torched several provincial checkpoints and the home of Najaf province governor Luay al-Yassiry, who is known and despised for his very close association to the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran. The protesters are demanding he hand his resignation and step down from his post.

Militia group members and units of the government’s anti-riot force opened fire upon demonstrators outside the governor’s office, leaving many demonstrators wounded.

Majlis Research Center: Iran’s Economy in Freefall and Reaching Destruction

Economic Crisis in Iran

The Iranian regime’s economy is in a freefall and reaching the point of complete destruction. The regime’s wasting of the national wealth and plundering people’s assets to fund its warmongering and terrorism machine, nuclear activities, and the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) has resulted in an economic catastrophe. In addition, the regime’s institutionalized, systematic, and widespread corruption has increased the economic hardships in Iran. In such a case, the coronavirus crisis has caused unemployment for millions of Iranians and increased economic problems.

The Research Center of the Iranian regime’s parliament has prepared a report on the country’s economic situation. During its session on May 31, the new parliament of the mullahs was presented the report by Mohammad Ghasemi, the head of the center. The report is titled “Image of the country’s economic situation: Challenges and Strategies.” Its release was also widely covered by state media.

“Khamenei and Rouhani must face justice for crimes against humanity”: MEK Resistance Unit

The Iranian Resistance Units, a network of the activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) across Iran, have been organizing various activities that are louder calls for regime change. The MEK Resistance Units’ also payed tribute to Marjan, a popular singer and former political prisoner, who died in a hospital in Los Angeles on June 6. The tragic event marked the end of Marjan’s four decades of staunch resistance against the most vicious tyranny in Iran’s history. Because of her support for the MEK, Marjan was arrested and imprisoned by the mullahs’ regime in the 1980s. During her years in prison, despite torture and mistreatment by prison authorities, Marjan remained persistent in her ideals and support for freedom and democracy in Iran. After fleeing Iran in the early 2000s, she joined the PMOI/MEK and the Iranian Resistance. For two decades, she was the inspiring voice of Iran’s oppressed women and girls. In the dark of the night, her voice gave glad tidings of the looming dawn.
