The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, June 18, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 53,200 in 334 cities across Iran. 4360 in Khuzestan, 2975 in Isfahan, 1890 in Lorestan, 1780 in East Azerbaijan, 1399 in Kermanshah, 1130 in Kurdestan, 720 in Kerman, 630 in Markazi (Central), 520 in Bushehr. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

Regime-Affiliated Factory Owners Embezzle $1.4 Billion as Workers Remain Unpaid
Embezzlement of $1.4 billion by the members of the Iranian regime who own the Haft Tappeh sugarcane factory in Khuzestan while workers’ salaries remain unpaid.
Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company is located 14 km from Shush city and has factories as well as 24,000 hectares of goods land on the banks of the Dez River in Khuzestan Province, south-western Iran. The company was handed over to Omid Asadbeigi and Mehrdad Rostami, 28 and 31 years old respectively, at a 2015 auction with a down payment of only 6 billion tomans. The price and manner of this transfer and the qualifications of these two young men were in a state of ambiguity from the very beginning and indicated the beginning of a major case of government corruption and plundering.

Iran’s Labor Children, Victims of Mullahs’ Regime
but for Iranian labor children, it was another day of a miserable life under the mullahs’ regime.
The Labor Ministry’s Center for Statistics and Strategic Information says there are ½ million working children in Iran
The state-run Resalat daily wrote on June 29, 2019:
“A study by a faculty member of Tehran University found there were between 3-7 million working children in Iran in 2002”
Street and labor children are the most vulnerable in Iranian society. They are forced to work amid the COVID-19 outbreak
Yet, instead of using its vast resources to help them, the regime blames these poor children for the spread of COVID-19.
Thousands of Iranian street children are breadwinners, selling gum & flowers, cleaning car windows or scavenging garbage
Iranian children, particularly labor and street children, are under tremendous pressure.
Unlike children in other countries, they don’t experience the joy of a real childhood.
Child labor is an indicator of an explosive society. This problem won’t be resolved as long as the regime is in power.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 334 Cities Exceeds 52,800
- In Hormozgan, the fatalities have quadrupled since May 21. Eighty-five percent of ventilator-assisted patients die. More than 250 Hormozgan health workers have contracted Coronavirus, and the rest are fatigued.
- In Bushehr, last week, the number of cases was more than the total in 4 months. This week in the province, several hundred Coronavirus patients were diagnosed daily, many in critical condition, and transferred to the ICU.
- In Golestan, the number of hospitalized patients has increased from 150 to 300 and 6 children have died due to Coronavirus.

The number of victims in Khuzestan is 4,315, Khorasan Razavi 3,295, Gilan 2,810, Isfahan 2,805, Sistan and Baluchestan 1,965, Lorestan 1,815, West Azerbaijan 1,485, Golestan 1,340, Kerman 705, Bushehr 505, and Hormozgan 410.

The U.S. House Majority Stands With Iran’s People and Resistance
The Organization of the Iranian American Communities (OIAC), held a virtual conference, attended by senior U.S. lawmakers and personalities, unveiling House Resolution 374 to counter Iranian regime’s threats, U.S policy, and necessary measures to be taken to support the Iranian people in their quest for freedom. This resolution is being unveiled while the Iranian society grapples with the various crisis, including the COVID-19 pandemic, economic hardship, and particularly after the nationwide Iran protests in 2019 and the regime’s brutality which resulted in over 1500 deaths. Iran’s society has become more restive, awaiting a spark to explode and overthrow this regime.

Two more honor killings less than a month after the brutal murder of Romina
Less than a month after Romina Ashrafi’s murder, two more honor killings have shaken Iranian society. Two young women were brutally murdered by their father and husband on June 14 and 15 of 2020.
Reyhaneh Ameri, 22, from Kerman (southeast Iran), was killed by her father on June 15 when he struck her with an ax. Reyhaneh’s father had tried to kill her three years ago by breaking her arms and legs, but her sister intervened and saved her (The state-run ROKNA News Agency – June 16, 2020).
In another case, Fatemeh Barahi, 19, was beheaded by her husband in the southwestern city of Abadan on Sunday night, June 14, 2020.(The state-run ROKNA News Agency – June 16, 2020).

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Thursday, June 18, 2020, marks the 216th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
