Over 52,400 dead of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Iran-Iran Coronavirus Death Toll per PMOI MEK sources

NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF June 16, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, June 16, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 52,400 in 332 cities across Iran. 10,800 in Tehran, 4280 in Khuzestan, 1810 in Lorestan, 1470 in West Azerbaijan, 1360 in Kermanshah, 1115 in Kurdistan, and 670 in Kerman. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The International Committee in Search of Justice (ISJ), which enjoys the support of over 4000 parliamentarians on both sides of the Atlantic, in a letter to Simonetta Sommaruga, President of the Swiss Confederation, while condemning the recent decision by Switzerland to close the assassination case of Professor Kazem Rajavi, demanded that “the assassins of Professor Kazem Rajavi must be put on trial in Switzerland without leniency.

EDITORIAL: Swiss Send Wrong Message to Iran

In the 1980s and the 1990s, Iranian operatives carried out a number of brutal assassinations of opponents across Europe and North America. The perpetrators and overseeing officials have escaped justice ever since. And if the public prosecutor for Vaud Province in Switzerland moves forward with his current plans, it seems that the perpetrators will escape justice forever.

The prosecutor announced last week that charges against 14 individuals, involved in the assassination of Dr. Kazem Rajavi, a prominent law professor and democracy activist, will exceed the statute of limitations on June 17, and later changed the date to July 31. If none of the 14 is apprehended before that time, they can never be held accountable for their murderous actions in the country where they were carried out.

The Iranian Resistance Units, a network of the activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) across Iran, have been organizing various activities that are louder calls for regime change. The Resistance Units bravely took to graffiti in public places with the slogan — “Down with Khamenei, hail to freedom,” “Down with the principle of the Supreme leader’s rule,” and “Viva Rajavi, down with Khamenei.”
They wrote :
Isfahan— “The Iranian regime’s fear of being overthrown spells its end”
Tehran— “The uprising continues; the only answer for the mullahs is fire”
Babolsar— “The uprising will continue”
Aleshtar (Lorestan)— “Down with Khamenei, damn Khomeini”
Yazd— “Down with Khamenei, Viva Rajavi”
Tehran— “Down with Khamenei, hail to freedom” / “Down with the principle of the Supreme leader’s rule / “Viva Rajavi, down with Khamenei”

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is reportedly working on a plan to send a private plane to Bucharest, via Sofia, Bulgaria to return the criminal cleric, Gholam Reza Mansouri, to Tehran as part of the scheme by the Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi to use him for political purposes.

UK Lawmakers Condemn Swiss Decision to Close File Into Assassination of Prof. Kazem Rajavi by Iran’s Regime

The British Committee for Iran Freedom (BCFIF) in a statement condemned the decision by Switzerland to close the assassination case of Prof. Kazem Rajavi 

Professor Kazem Rajavi was the older brother of Iranian Resistance Leader Massoud Rajavi and the representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRIin Switzerland. He was also Iran’s first ambassador to the United Nations European Headquarters in Geneva. Prof. Rajavi was assassinated on August 24, 1990 while returning home in the suburbs of Geneva. He is known as the “Great Martyr for the Cause of Human Rights.”   

The BCFIF is made up of members of the United Kingdoms’ lawmakers from both the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 332 Cities Exceeds 52,100

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on June 15, 2020, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 332 cities across Iran have risen to 52,100. The number of victims in Khuzestan is 4,255, Qom 3,690, Khorasan Razavi 3,270, Mazandaran 2,825, Kermanshah 1,342, Kurdistan 1,095, Ardabil 691, Bushehr 486, and Hormozgan 395.

Iran’s regime further digs its hands into the people’s pockets

Government-induced price hikes continue to take their toll on the population

The growing shortage and expenses of vital goods has put an immense pressure on the Iranian people. Product, especially items monopolized by the government, are becoming more expensive every day. After the price hike of water, electricity, houses, train tickets, cars etc. the price of bread has risen. Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), announced a 40-50 percent rise to the price of bread but put the blame on the bakers union.  Also, the price of fruit has risen dramatically, to the point that even the middle class is unable to purchase adequate amounts.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Tuesday, June 16, 2020, marks the 214th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE UPRISING:

Number of uprising cities: 191

Number of martyrs: At least 1500

Number of injured: More than 4,000

Number of detainees: More than 12,000
