NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF July 23, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI-MEK) announced this afternoon, July 23, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 75,300 in 347 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 5570 in Khorasan Razavi, 3483 in Isfahan, 3343 in Mazandaran, 2380 in Alborz, 2940 in Lorestan, 2360 in Sistan and Baluchistan, 2245 in West Azerbaijan, 1990 in Hamadan, 1950 in Golestan, 1070 in Kerman, 890 in Hormozgan, 785 in Ardebil. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The leading voices for democracy in Iran recently spoke out in an online conference spanning three days and incorporating participation from more than 100 countries. The Free Iran Global Summit was organized by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and featured speeches on Friday, Sunday, and Monday from the NCRI’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi, as well as a wide range of lawmakers and policy experts who had endorsed the NCRI as the best and most viable alternative to the existing theocratic system.

Iranian opposition MEK network follows Free Iran Global Summit 2020 in Iran supporting Maryam Rajavi

The Iranian Resistance “Free Iran Global Summit 2020” annual meeting, held online on July 17, was widely supported and viewed inside the country.
The event was held in the exceptional and special circumstances imposed by the coronavirus pandemic, which has pushed the world into social distancing rules and lockdown. The online rally connected more than 30,000 locations in 102 countries of the world, including Iran, where internet access is very limited.
More than 1,000 of personalities, political leaders, human rights activists, and other dignitaries from around the world attended the “Free Iran Global Summit 2020,” and some of them described it as “unimaginable,” and “an exciting technological achievement.”
Many Iranians inside the country and across the globe sent videos and personal messages on the social media, announcing their participation and support for the struggle of People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) to overthrow the clerical regime.

MEK network send their messages to the world supporting Maryam Rajavi

Many Iranians and the Iranian Resistance Units, a network of activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) across Iran, have announced their support for the annual gathering of the Iranian Resistance, the “Free Iran Global Summit: Iran Rising Up for Freedom,” in recent days. The Resistance Units have been organizing various activities that are louder calls for regime change. The Resistance Units bravely took to graffiti in public places and sent personal messages, with the slogans: “Freedom and democracy with Maryam Rajavi,” “Iran Rajavi, Rajavi Iran,” “We are with you at the Free Iran gathering,” “Iran, Maryam, Freedom,” “Hail to the MEK and Maryam Rajavi,” “Long live Iran and Iranians,” and “Hail to the Resistance Units – Hail to the MEK’s leadership, Massoud Rajavi and Maryam Rajavi.”

Many deprived survivors of the 2017 earthquake in Sarpol Zahab of Kermanshah province are still living in trailers and makeshift homes

Municipality authorities in the town of Sarpol Zahab of Kermanshah province in western Iran have issued an ultimatum ordering survivors of the November 2017 earthquake to evacuate their trailers and makeshift homes in the next 48 hours.

The residents of these small homes have been living in such conditions for nearly three years now after the horrific November 2017 earthquake leveled their town and completely ruined their lives. “We have no place to go and we can’t afford the cost of a new home or apartment. If the municipality forces us to evacuate these trailers, we have no choice but to start living in tents,” one local said.

Lack of funding, lack of medical equipment and facilities, and depletion of medical staff have exacerbated the Coronavirus disaster

In the 1988 massacre, more than 30,000 political prisoners, most of them members and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), were executed by the Iranian regime.

Morgan Ortagus, the spokesperson of the United States State Department, in a video message on Twitter, while condemning the Iranian regime’s ongoing human rights violations, particularly the 1988 massacre of thousands of political prisoners, called on the “international community to conduct independent investigations and do provide accountability and justice for the victims of these horrendous violations of human rights, organized by the Iranian regime.”

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Thursday, July 23, 2020, marks the 250th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
