Isfahan, central Iran Workers of the Isfahan refinery are continuing their strike and standing their ground in the face of security units that attempted to prevent them from leaving the site.

Iranian regime executed political prisoner Mostafa Salehi this morning in a prison in Isfahan, central Iran.

Mostafa was arrested for participating in the 2018 Iran Protests, calling for freedom.
Mostafa denied charges brought against him in court.

Maryam Rajavi: I strongly condemn the execution of Iran protester Mostafa Salehi in Isfahan. After million-strong campaigns forced the mullahs to retreat from executing 8 protesters, the regime attempted to retaliate by this execution to terrorize the public and fend off popular upheavals.

The UN and its member states, and international organizations must immediately censure the criminal execution of detained protestor Mostafa Salehi. A visit by an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons and prisoners is an ever greater imperative.

Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 350 Cities Exceeds 82,600

· Health Ministry: Currently, 170 cities are red, and 101 cities are in alert. No city is virus-free, and all parts of the country are infected. (IRNA, Aug.4)

· Mohammad-Reza Mahboob-Far, member of the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce (NCCT): There is no empty bed for critically ill patients! Coronavirus has infected all the villages, while the medical conditions in the villages are not good at all. If the Government does not do anything and be content with issuing recommendations only, the number of infections will increase six-fold in September, and the daily death toll will reach 1,600 to 2,000. · Alireza Zali, head of the NCCT in Tehran: In the Past 24 hours, 662 people have been hospitalized, and 500 patients have been discharged. There are still fewer people released than hospitalized, and we are witnessing a negative upswing. (Mehr news agency, Aug.3)

· The situation in Qom is red, and the hospitals are full, and the medical staff are working around the clock.

· The workload of Rezvan Cemetery in Mashhad has tripled since the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak in February. (Asr-e Iran daily, Aug.2)

Iran’s oil industry workers are on strike. Here’s why it matters.

The workers of several refineries and oil industry centers in southern Iran, including Abadan, Mahshahr, Gheshm, Parsian, and Southern Pars started a fresh round of strikes on Saturday, August 1. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) tweeted on August 2 that the workers of Phase 14 (South Pars natural gas project), Bushehr, and Asaluyeh have joined the strikes launched by their colleagues in the oil, natural gas, and petrochemical industry, which continues to this day.

Aug 4 – Isfahan, central Iran Employees and workers of the Isfahan refinery began their strike. Many other such facilities in Iran are also witnessing protests and strikes by their workers.

Mullahs’ Regime: Main Reason for Powerful covid19 Outbreak in Iran

The state-run Setareh Sobh (Morning Star) daily: “Some studies show that the novel coronavirus was transmitted from China to Iran in early January, at least a month before the official announcement of the country’s officials. And for some reason or lack of information, this issue was not announced. It was announced when nothing could have been done, and the virus had vastly spread in locations such as Tehran, Qom, Gilan, Mazandaran, etc. and many were either infected or died. In fact, a wrong policy and having no transparency in giving the information to the public from the beginning created inconsistency and confusion in the government health department.”

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Wednesday, August 5, 2020, marks the 263rd day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
