Iran’s coronavirus outbreak – April 2020

NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF APRIL 7, 2020, 6:00 PM CET):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, April 7, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 20,400 in 245 cities across Iran. The actual number for the whole county and all cities and villages is much higher, and this figure doesn’t cover all the victims.

The death count in different provinces includes:430 in West Azerbaijan, 335 in East Azerbaijan, 445 in Ardebil, 40 in Bushehr, 82 in Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari, 1800 in Khorasan Razavi, 350 in Semnan, 2050 in Qom, 340 in Kurdistan, 345 in Kerman, 630 in Kermanshah, 122 in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, 510 in Lorestan, 300 in Central province, and 560 in Hamadan. This is in addition to the death toll in other provinces.

Regime’s aid package to 3 million impoverished families is equivalent to 12 to 36 dollars

Maryam Rajavi: The token aid given by Khamenei and Rouhani to three million deprived families is less than a day’s salary of Iraqi and Afghan mercenaries of the terrorist Quds force. The insulting gesture reflects regime fear of an uprising Khamenei controls hundreds of billions of dollars of the nation’s wealth plundered by the IRGC and other major economic institutions and can easily pay the expenses of the impoverished so that they could be quarantined. 

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on Monday, April 6, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll has shockingly risen to 19,500 in 242 cities across Iran. The number of victims in Tehran is 2,430, Gilan 1,700, Isfahan 1,660, Mazandaran 1,630, Khuzestan 870, Golestan 860, Alborz 730, Zanjan 370, Fars 360, Qazvin 320, East Azerbaijan 315, Ilam 160, South Khorasan 55, and Hormozgan 42.

Member of Iran’s Coronavirus Task Force: It Is Estimated That 500,000 People in Iran Have Contracted Coronavirus

MP says Iran hiding COVID-19 deaths as death toll surpasses 19,500

An Iranian lawmaker said that the regime was underreporting the number of COVID-19 deaths and infections as unofficial death toll figures surpassed 19,500.

“One of the problems that we have faced from the beginning was the lack of clear information about the number of infections and deaths,” Hossein Ali Haji Deligani, who represents three cities in the central province of Isfahan in the regime’s parliament said yesterday.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Tuesday, April 7, 2020, marks the 145th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE UPRISING:
