NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF APRIL 3, 2020, 6:00 PM CET):
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, April 3, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 16,800 in 238 cities across Iran.
The death count in different provinces include: 215 in East Azerbaijan, 375 in West Azerbaijan, 1585 in Isfahan, 60 in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, 40 in South Khorasan, 1300 in Khorasan Razavi, 720 in Khuzestan, 235 in Fars, 275 in Gazvin, 1720 in Qom, 285 in Kurdistan, 200 in Kerman, 435 in Kermanshah, 810 in Golestan, 1510 in Gilan, 473 in Lorestan, 265 in Central province and 405 in Hamadan. This is in addition to the death toll in other provinces.

More than 1,000 inmates of Yazd Central Prison in central Iran held a rally on Wednesday morning local time, April 1, protesting the threat of coronavirus spreading in the facility, the authorities’ refusal to provide even temporary leave, and forcing them to participate in mass prayers and religious ceremonies. This gathering was held in the prison courtyard and authorities responded by dispatching security units to launch a ruthless attack against the inmates, leaving at least five prisoners wounded as a result.

IRGC’s Brutal Attack on Sepidar and Shiban Prisons Kills Seven Prisoners
The suppressive forces’ brutal attack on Sepidar and Shiban prisoners and their families has left many prisoners killed, injured, and missing.

On March 30, 2020, the IRGC shot and killed at least seven prisoners named Mohammad Tamoli, Mohammad Lefteh, Mohammad Salamat, Ali Khafaji, Majid Zubidi, Shahin Zahiri and Seyed Reza Khorsani (Moghinemi). Many were injured in Sepidar Prison. The regime is trying to cover up this heinous crime and prevent the disclosure of the names and number of the murdered prisoners.

The Peoples Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced on April 2, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll has risen to more than 16,100 in 237 cities across Iran.
The number of victims in Tehran is 2,080, Mazandaran 1,300, Khuzestan 690, Alborz 655, Ardabil 425, Yazd at least 320, North Khorasan 210, Sistan and Baluchestan 160, Semnan 110, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 110, Hormozgan 35, and Bushehr 32.

A minor offender who was sentenced to death at 17 was killed under torture in a western Iran prison, a human rights group said. Twenty-year-old Danial Zin Alabedini was beaten to death by prison guards for being suspected of playing a part in a riot in Mahabad Prison.
According to the Iran Human Rights website, his body was handed over to his family today. According to his family, the signs of torture were evident on his body.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Friday, April 3, 2020, marks the 141st day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
