Iran: Coronavirus Fatalities, April 1, 2020, 6:00 PM CET

NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF APRIL 1, 2020, 6:00 PM CET):
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, April 1, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 15,500 in 237 cities across Iran.

The death count in different provinces include: 200 in East Azerbaijan, 620 in Alborz, 1560 in Isfahan, 50 in Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari, 1205 in Khorasan Razavi, 660 in Khuzestan, 260 in Fars, 260 in Gazvin, 1650 in Qom, 260 in Kurdistan, 180 in Kerman, 415 in Kermanshah, 750 in Golestan, 1460 in Gilan, 420 in Lorestan, 250 in Central province and 315 in Hamedan. This is in addition to the death toll in other provinces.

Maryam Rajavi: Long prison sentences for political activists, prime example of regime’s brutality

The regime’s criminal judiciary in Mashhad has brutally sentenced Mr. Hashem Khastar, the freedom-loving teacher and activist to 16 years in prison and two years of internal exile. Three other activists, Mr. Mohammad Hossein Sepehri, Mr. Mohammad Nourizad, and Ms. Fatemeh Sepehri, also received heavy prison sentences and ordered internally exiled. They had called for the resignation of the regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran: Coronavirus Fatalities Rise to 14,700 in 237 Cities

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) announced this afternoon, March 31, 2020, the death toll for Coronavirus in 237 cities across Iran has risen to more than 14,700. The number of victims in Isfahan is 1500, Ilam 135, Tehran 1900, Khorasan Razavi 1120, Khuzestan 635, Zanjan 280, Fars 240, Kurdistan 240, Kerman 180, Kermanshah 400, Golestan 705, Mazandaran 1060, Central Province 230, and Hamadan 300.

Iran: Teacher Condemned to 16 Years in Prison for Asking Khamenei to Step Down

NCRI’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi qualified such brutal verdicts, especially at a time when all prisoners have to be immediately released because of the coronavirus infection, clear examples of the atrocity of the religious supreme leader and his chief justice. She urged the UN High Commissionaire for Human Rights as well as the UN Special rapporteur for Iran to intervene to demand the release of these prisoners whose lives are in danger.

Who was Qassem Soleimani?

Soleimani was a member of the regime’s Supreme National Security Council, because of his closeness to Khamenei and his decisive role in the regime’s decision makings and policies in the region. In addition to commanding the IRGC Quds Force, he was Secretary of the Strategic Policy Council of Iraq and was responsible for everything that was happening in Iraq.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Wednesday, April 1, 2020, marks the 139th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE UPRISING:

Number of uprising cities: 191

Number of martyrs: At least 1500

Number of injured: More than 4,000

Number of detainees: More than 12,000
