The Consequences of A Corrupt and Rigged Selection

With less than a day after the Iranian regime declared Ebrahim Raisi as the winner of its sham presidential election, feudal fighting in Tehran and social unrest in different parts of the country have erupted.

In Jiroft, the South-center of Iran, locals expressed their hatred against those who dared to show up at polling stations to cast their vote; either because of their political affiliation or economic dependency on the regime.

In Yasuj, Southwestern Iran, people clashed with the police over fraud in the city council elections. Also in Karun, Southwestern Iran, even those who have voted couldn’t tolerate the level of fraud and rigging in the ruling system and raised their voices to protest.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, June 20, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 547 cities across Iran had exceeded 314,900. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 73,826, Isfahan 21,175, Khuzestan 19,851, Khorasan Razavi 19,145, Fars 10,552, Qom 9,795, Golestan 7,515, Sistan and Baluchestan 7,371, Kerman 7,088, North Khorasan 4,478, Hormozgan 4,395, Qazvin 3,629, Zanjan 3,430, and Bushehr 3,329.

Iran Cyber Police Arrests 3 for “Creating Ambiguity” on Election Day

The Social Deputy of Iran’s Cyber Police (FATA) said yesterday that three people who had published false news with the goal of “creating ambiguity” on election day were detained. According to the state-run ISNA News Agency, Ramin Pashaie, the Social Deputy said they had received complaints from some candidates of the mid-term Parliament and City Councils regarding false information and personal photos that was posted on the internet. He said the Cyber Police was tasked with monitoring and identifying the “criminals”.

Border Porter Passes Away of Injuries 4 Days After Being Shot by Police in West Iran

A border porter or “kolbar” who was shot and injured by police in Kermanshah, western Iran, passed away in the hospital on June 18. The porter was identified as Basir Ahmadzadeh. Basir was shot in the head by the state security forces on June 14 in Nosud border area. Ahmadzadeh’s brother was also injured in the shooting, but no report has been published on his condition so far.
