Iranian regime creates one more suppressive force on the eve of election

SSF force attack a female protestor during 2009 uprising
NCRI – The Iranian regime’s State Security Forces’ commander announced the creation of the new “honorary police” on the eve of the upcoming sham presidential election.

Esmael Ahmadi Moghaddam, the SSF chief speaking at a meeting of SSF Special Units said that the “honorary police” will be working alongside of Special Units during the upcoming election in June, state-run news agency ISNA reported on Monday.

Ahmadi Moghaddam warned that “the enemy has plans to create tensions in the society.”

The Iranian regime regularly uses plainclothes agents in suppression of public protests.  They were widely involved in criminal activities during the 2009 uprisings. The announcement of the formation of the new force is an official acknowledgment to the plans for using the plainclothes agents to suppress any unrest during election period.
