NCRI – In a reaction to implementation of 15 years imprisonment for his deputy, The Iranian regime’s former president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, wrote a letter calling senior judiciary officials “number one accused of corruptions”.

One day after Hamid Baqaei, Ahmadinejad’s deputy, was introduced to prison, the letter dated Wednesday March 14, 2018, was published in Dowlat Bahar website in which Ahmadinejad targeted the judiciary with intense attacks during a factional feud.

Ahmadinejad said that Sadeq Larijani, head of the judiciary, “lacks legal competence” and added that in the judiciary under his control “the independence of the judges has practically been eliminated”.

“The senior officials of the judiciary, with political perspectives, openly violate all the laws and even the rules they have set up and openly abdicate judicial honour and above that human dignity,” Ahmadinejad wrote adding, “While they themselves are the first accused of corruption, they have been falsely claiming that they fight corruption.”

He added that the judiciary is “in its worst historical condition” and the officials of this branch of power “with political motives easily confront anybody who disturb their illegitimate interests” and “there is no source or reference for the people to complain to of their injustice and oppression”.

Hamid Baghei, who faces financial charges during his tenure in the administration of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, 43 billion Toman fine in cash and lashes. His charges include unauthorized seizure, embezzlement, and collusion in government transactions.

Ahmadinejad continues to admit in his letter “the ruling elements of the government, instead of defending the rights of the people and the efforts to advance the country, seek to develop and consolidate their domination over the country and the people and the nation’s wealth and resources. In this issue, the left and right, and all factions are ally, partner and aligned.”

A short while ago, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a letter to the regime’s leader Ali Khamenei, called for the removal of the head of the judiciary and “holding an immediate and free election” in the country without the “interference of law enforcement agencies” and “Guardian Council’s engineering”.
