“Iran’s resurgent resistance”, a book published earlier this year, By Professor Ivan Sascha Sheehan, University of Baltimore professor and a leading Iran policy scholar was introduced in publicity by the Washington Times in its Thursday’s edition.
This book, which is about a bipartisan delegation visit to Ashraf 3, Albania, home to thousands of members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI, Mujahedin-e Khalq or MEK), points to the MEK and National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as a force of change inside Iran and a viable democratic alternative to the medieval Iranian regime.
This visit was coincident with the annual “Free Iran” gathering held by the NCRI and MEK at Ashraf 3, which was also attended by the NCRI’s president-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.

This book debunks the pro-appeasement western media outlets and the regime’s apologist regurgitating false allegations made by the Iranian regime to discredit its only viable alternative. The book by Prof. Sheehan was endorsed by renowned American Politicians such as Joseph Lieberman, Former U. S. Senator, Governor Tom Ridge, First Secretary of Homeland Security, Louis Freeh, Former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), General (Ret.) James T. Conway, 34th Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps and Marc Ginsberg, Former U.S. Ambassador to Morocco who were among hundreds of political luminaries who visited Ashraf 3 in June 2018.

A real, democratic, and viable alternative has emerged to the Iranian regime in the form of the MEK.
