UN body concerned over juvelile execution in Iran

NCRI – The representative of UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, condemned the execution of juveniles in Iran.

Christian Salazar Walkman said: "There are still reports of execution and death sentences coming from Iran, despite an order of ban on the execution of child offenders." He stressed that the regime must adhere to international standards with respect to offences in childhood age.

The UNICEF representative in Iran added that the age of punitive responsibility in Iran is 9 for girls and 15 for boys which should be raised to 18 for both sexes.
