Syrian opposition military general warns of Assad resorting to chemical weapons against Syrian people

Major General Adnan Nuress Selu
Major General Adnan Nuress Selu, Supreme Commander of the Syrian Revolution Joint Military Command participated in an interview with Iran National Television emphasizing on the threat of Assad resorting to chemical weapons against the Syrian people.
Excerpts are as follows:

The Syrian regime has large caches of chemical weapons, importing them from Russia in the 1970s and consisting of mustard, sarin and VX gases.

Iran and Syrian chemical specialists have tested these agents in areas east of Aleppo at the Military Scientific Research Center, with experiments taking place on artillery shells, fighter jets and or chemical warheads on mid-range and long-range missiles.
Iran supports Assad with cash, weapons and ammunition, and most of the planes coming to Syria from Iraqi airspace carry weapons and land in the Damascus International Airport. As Revolutionary Guards commander Mohammad Ali Jafari admitted in his interview, Iran has dispatched 2,500 IRGC members to Syria and also a few thousand Hezbollah members to crackdown the Syrian people. A few months ago we arrested around 50 IRGC members in Duma, a number of IRGC members in the Jessr Al-Shugur region in a shabiha center, and we have information on IRGC members’ presence in Khan Al-Assal, along with information on IRGC members fighting alongside Assad’s forces.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi is the leader of the Iranian people’s resistance and we consider her being in the front lines and the leader of the Iranian people’s resistance against the mullahs’ regime. We express our gratitude for stances taken by her and the Iranian Resistance regarding the Free Syrian Army and Syrian revolutionaries.
We will be happy from the overthrow of both regimes in Syria and Iran, and I also thank INTV for this opportunity.
