Swiss Committee Calls on Global Community to Condemn Tehran’s Escalating Repression on Iranian Resistance

Through a statement, the Swiss Committee for Democracy and Secularity in Iran (CSDSI) expressed grave concerns regarding recent developments on the Iranian regime’s repression of opposition figures, particularly the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), and its alarming plans to target opponents in Europe.

According to the CSDSI statement, the Iranian regime, apprehensive about potential uprisings and international accountability for its actions, has intensified its demonization campaign against the PMOI/MEK. Its judiciary formally charged 104 members of the organization, falsely accusing them of terrorism. This aggressive stance reflects the regime’s desperation to suppress the opposition and pave the way for terrorism on European soil.

The CSDSI calls upon the European Union and international bodies to denounce Tehran’s actions, which not only lead to more internal executions but also threaten opposition members abroad. As the regime escalates its aggression, international solidarity and accountability are vital to protect human rights, democracy, and justice, the statement concludes.
