Senior French Politician hails Iranian Resistance fight for democratic change

NCRI – A senior French politician has hailed the role of the Iranian Resistance in the crucial fight not only for a secular and democratic Iran, but also for future of the entire Middle East region.

Bruno Leroux – the leader of the socialists in the French parliament – also praised Resistance President-elect Maryam Rajavi for her unflinching determination in the political struggle that she is leading.
Mr Leroux told Mrs Rajavi at a conference held in the French National Assembly’s famous Colbert Hall: “Your fight for a democratic and secular Iran is vital for that nation’s future, for the future of the population and for the future of the region.

“And I am here to tell you that change is possible wherever one attempts it.  There is no country that has not seen change, and no country that has not risen up, and wanted to change its system.

“Of course that takes planning and organisation, but change is possible, and I believe the conditions are now coming together to make that change possible.

“And if our debates and thoughts and goodwill here can contribute to bringing that change about, that will be our small gesture to your vision of a better future.”

Directly addressing Mrs Rajavi, he added: “We are always available to you when you need us.  That will not change.

“So I want to issue a message of hope.  It’s a message of hope because the fight that you are leading today will open the way to what can be tomorrow.

“And I wish you, Mrs Rajavi, the power to achieve what you are striving for as soon as possible.”
