Russian al-Youm coverage of the June 18 gathering in Paris

NCRI – Russia’s Al Youm TV reported today that on Saturday a large gathering was held by the Iranian opposition where famous European, American and Arabic personalities were in attendance. They had all come to support and protect the movement.

“The reception for Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance for the period of transferring power was fit for a country presidents. Rajavi believes that the moment of truth has arrived.”

Rajavi says, “The mullahs’ regime will be gone. The Iranian spring has arrived. After the Arab spring, that of Iran has practically arrived.”

Rajavi believes that the noose is tightening around the regime’s neck. Its ally, Syria, is busy curbing the Syrian people’s revolution. The feud between Khamenei and Ahmadinejad has intensified while the Iranian people’s anger has not subsided. The views of former New York city mayor, Rudy Giuliani, is not too different.

He also called on the world to protect Camp Ashraf. 36 people in Camp Ashraf were killed during the attack of the Iraqi army last April. European and French parliamentarians and a number of Arab personalities showed up at the event for support.

Nelly Rolland  the Mayor of Villepinte, said, “We see that other nations have risen up for democracy and against suppression and I think everyone should be part of the progress of democracy based on their resources and abilities.”

Mrs. Rajavi called on the international community to condemn the Tehran regime. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran gathered its supporters to send their message to inside and outside Iran. The storm of Arab revolutions have reached Tehran’s doorstep. Will this storm be enough to overthrow the regime? The answer lies in the hands of the people of Iran.
