Rally in Geneva called for an end to Iran regime’s terrorist meddling in Iraq

Rally in Geneva called for an end to Iran regime's terrorist meddling in Iraq NCRI – Hundreds of Iranians staged a rally outside the European Headquarters of the United Nations in Geneva on Friday to condemn mullahs’ conspiracies against the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI) in Iraq.

A group of French nationals from Auvers-sur-Oise, the town where Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, resides, also joined the Geneva rally in solidarity with the PMOI in Ashraf City, northeast of Baghdad.

Participants condemned explosion of water pipelines to Ashraf City by terrorist agents dispatched by mullahs’ regime to Iraq and its pressures on the Iraqi government to impose further restrictions on PMOI members and prevent supplies of basic needs to Ashraf including fuel, food stuff and medicine.

A delegation representing the protestors marched to the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross to deliver a letter on behalf of hundreds of families of the PMOI members residing in Ashraf City.

At the end of the rally a declaration was adopted which underlined the status of the PMOI members in Iraq as protected persons under the Fourth Geneva Convention and called for resumption of supplies of basic needs to Ashraf.

Several committee chairpersons of the NCRI and defense lawyers of the Iranian Resistance in France and Italy addressed the rally and called on international bodies to intervene in this humanitarian tragedy caused by mullahs’ regime.
