Maryam Rajavi, leader and heroine of the Iranian Resistance, was warmly and jovially welcomed by Iranians at the airport in Oslo. Constantly threatened with death by the Iranian regime, she is not surprised that the embassy issued a warning to Norwegian officials that she is due to meet tomorrow.
Maryam Rajavi: Firstly, you may imagine what they do in Iran to the opposition, dissidents, political prisoners and ethnic and religious minorities. Second, I think that this reflects the regime’s weakness. Look how unstable it is that it cannot even tolerate a several-hour-long meeting by its opposition and members of the Parliament in Norway, thousands of kilometres from Iran .
TV presenter: According to her, all efforts to negotiate with this regime are useless.
Question: So why a boycott instead of dialogue?
Maryam Rajavi: Exactly. We ask for an embargo instead of dialogue, because dialogue has already failed.
Question: Is your life in danger?
Maryam Rajavi: Constantly. You may imagine that this regime, which became so alarmed at an hour-long meeting at the Norwegian Parliament, will stop at nothing.
